Julie Magee is a Registered Reflexology Therapist and Registered Yoga Teacher established in Prince Edward County.
As a Reflexology Therapist, with over twenty years experience, her knowledge and passion for self-care is continually evolving. Julie's intention is to provide compassion and respect for her clients.
She is fully insured and holds the designation, RCRT, Registered Canadian Reflexology Therapist.
300HR Yoga Teacher Training Advanced. Yoga has given Julie the mind-body tools to live daily
with strength, balance and peace. Her teaching style incorporates a medley of yoga styles,
including Yin, Hatha, Restorative and Vinyasa.
Julie is approachable and understanding,
knowing that her students come to the mat for a variety of reasons.
Her daily personal practice, engaging in trainings regularly and plenty of reading and restorative yoga support Julie in staying balanced, and committed to her personal mantra: less is more.
The body has the ability to heal itself. Following illness, stress, injury or disease, it is in a state of “imbalance” and vital body systems can be blocked, preventing the body from functioning optimally. Reflexology can be used to restore and maintain the body’s natural balance and facilitate healing. For each person, the application and the effect of the therapy are unique. Sensitive, trained hands can detect tiny deposits and imbalances and by working on these points, the Reflexology Therapist can release these blockages.
Reflexology is one of the safest and least invasive alternative therapeutic practices available. The World Health Organization deems it simple and easy to learn, economical, readily found, safe, and effective.

"The first time I saw Julie for a reflexology appointment I had no idea of the treatment modality or the practice. What I was aware of was the chronic hip pain that I had endured for 10 years. I tried everything with some small gains but no consistent relief. I felt better immediately but that was not remarkable. A practice of anchoring in the body with steady warm-ups (pratapana) to layering poses (asanas) mindfully. This layering will gradually build heat (tapas) and increase circulation to our muscles, joints and areas of habitual tension. Class setting is open and inviting, with time to explore different styles of yoga, including restorative, yin and vinyasa flow. Integration (rest) will give space for the yoking of mind and body and seal this practice.
